Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Ignites China's Travel Fever

This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday marked the first such holiday since the implementation of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy. Port authorities across the country reported record-high 出入境 (inbound and outbound) passenger flows. Data from the National Immigration Administration shows that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the total number of border crossings reached 5.907 million. Among inbound foreigners, 231,000 entered under visa-free policies, a year-on-year increase of 59.4%. China's traditional festival experiences and profound cultural heritage are attracting an increasing number of foreign tourists to visit and experience the country.
